Additional Local Rules

‘The Local Rules listed in the ‘2025 CHAMPIONSHIPS LOCAL RULES and TERMS of COMPETITION’ (Referred to as GOLF IRELAND HARD CARD - see attached) together with the additions listed below will apply to this event.

 

Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)

HC #1

• A ball coming to rest on or beyond the carpark, entrance road, and the practice ground and beyond any boundary fence is OOB. The course side kerb edge defines the OOB at the carpark and club surrounds.
• Greenkeepers shed and surrounds. (White posts define the OOB)
• The boundary on the RHS of the 1^st hole is defined by a white line/white stakes.

 

Penalty Areas (Rule 17)

Defined by the line between the outside points at ground level of the red stakes.

All bridges crossing a PA are defined as being in the PA. Red dots to be marked either side and centre of bridges.

 

Immovable obstructions (Rule16.1)

Artificially surfaced paths, distance marker posts, tee direction markers, water covers, seat, shelters and all sprinkler heads.

 

Greenside – IMO’s

Bunkers

HC#4c is NOT IN EFFECT

 

Waste Sand Areas / Bare Sand Areas

These areas are part of the General Area and NOT bunkers.
